Ku Nye DVD 2 – Additional External Therapies
Ku Nye is Tibetan massage therapy. It has been in use for centuries in the Tibetan communities. It was recently introduced outside of Tibet partly because of the increased interest and awareness of Tibetan culture. Ku Nye orginated from Ayurveda and evolved into its own system. This places more emphasis on medical evidence and Tibetan herbal formulations.
It covers many of the external therapies found in Traditional Tibetan Medicine (TTM). It embraces several powerful techniques that help restore a balance between the three energy types within each person’s body. These are rLung, Tripa and Bbadken. It is the best therapy for rLung imbalance because Ku Nye pacifies the condition before and after any specific treatment.
Benefits of Ku Nye
Some major benefits of Ku Nye include increased vitality, detox, pain management, insomnia, depression, and anxiety. When used together with other Tibetan external therapy techniques you can achieve remarkable breakthroughs where other therapies have not worked.
Ku Nye uses a variety of specific types of oil and herbs which are then used to pacify the rLung energy in the body.
PART 2 – OTHER EXTERNAL THERAPY TECHNIQUES
This is part TWO of two DVDs with emphasis on other techniques. These include stick therapy, moxibustion, hot and cold compresses, hot stones, shell massage and horme. Part ONE was about the massage therapy practices using powerful hand techniques. Each DVD complements the other, and introduces you to a very practical form of massage therapy which has its roots from over 1000 years of medical knowledge and practice in the Tibetan healing systems.
This DVD is demonstrated by Dr Nida Chenagtsang, a Tibetan Doctor based in Italy, and is a useful visual aid for all students as well as practitioners. However, it does not replace having a proper qualification before you can practice. For more information on how to get certified please go to www.iattm.org.uk which provides a lot more detail on Ku Nye.
